our story
The Tom Barker Group story is built on those of our unique experience brands, 47A® and Expedition Ice.
Founded in 2018 by Tom Barker, 47A® is the intersection of three key pillars; a passion for Formula One, an inspired creative endevour and an entrepreneurial pursuit. Now hosted annually at the Australian, Miami, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 47A® is the trusted home for established entrepreneurs, founders, CEO’s and investors with a likemined approach to life and business.
In parallel to the international growth of 47A® Tom's desire for an annual event hosted in his native New Zealand yearned and with that the cocnept of Expedition Ice was born.
Expedition Ice, as the name suggests, is a winter adventure championed by the Audi Ice Experience held at the top secret Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds. Combined with a myriad of ‘once in a lifetime’ adventures seamlessly curated to connect and immerse our guests into a new world of luxury exploration.
