Martin’s own Formula 1 career saw him competing against champions Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Mika Häkkinen and Michael Schumacher to achieve 9 podium finishes before injuries sustained from various crashes made it difficult to continue his driving career.
